Join us for the ultimate celebration of the African heritage.

The Africulture Network, in partnership with International School Aberdeen (ISA) is delighted to bring an evening event showcasing the rich and diverse culture of Africa to Aberdeen at our brand-new Scottish event.

The event will showcase the diverse cultural traditions, talent, natural resources, and heritage of this great continent through a vibrant educational evening accompanied by a fusion of African and Scottish cuisine.

Featuring…

THE ABERDEEN AFRICA CHOIR

Enjoy a performance from a local talented group formed in January 2006 creating joy and happiness from their music.

A fusion of African and Scottish cuisine, brought to you by Gìdí Grill Restaurant

SHONA CHOIR

A Scottish and African storytelling dance and music group based in Edinburgh who will take you on a journey through Africa.

AFRICAN FASHION SHOW

Models showcasing the vibrant textures of regional dress from across the African continent.

TALKING DRUMMER

This traditional artform is an hourglass-shaped drum from West Africa which mimics the tone and prosody of human speech.

YOLANDA BROWN OBE

The talented, award-winning reggae, jazz, and soul artist will be performing live!

We are still on a high and well and truly blown away from Saturday evening!

As you can see from the photos, The Africulture team certainly set the bar high, and we are so proud.  The Spirit of Africa was truly magical, and we are extremely grateful that we took the opportunity to highlight the rich history and culture of the African continent.
